Presentation

CLM gathers two organisations, each with a different approach : CLM Research and Advice Plc. and Foundation Centre for Agriculture and Environment.

- CLM Research and Advice is an independent, professional company that conducts scientific research, extension and facilitation for sustainable agriculture and an attractive countryside. It produces working knowledge for policymaking and farmers practices.

-Foundation Centre for Agriculture and Environment is an idealistic organisation that promotes sustainable agriculture with a broadened function. The foundation is concerned with innovation, debate, mediation and lobby. It is financed by donations from companies and civil organisations. The board unites environmentalists, farmers and representatives of other related interest groups.

CLM employees are experts in a wide range of areas: environmentally safe farming, animal welfare, food safety, nature conservation and countryside management, water management, energy production and conservation, agritourism and care farming.

NB: CLM will be coordinator of the Dutch National Rural Network (successor of the Leader+ network) from 2007 to 2013.
