Presentation

PLANED - Pembrokeshire Local Action Network for Enterprise & Development - is a non-profit-making company and a registered Charity working throughout Pembrokeshire. This locally-led organisation brings communities together with a range of supporting agencies and networks for the benefit of local people. PLANED is also a process and special way of working. Its role is as an engager, a facilitator, a networker and a builder of partnerships. More generally, it aims at encouraging the widest possible participation of local people.

Established in 2001, PLANED has evolved from SPARC (South Pembrokeshire Partnership for Action with Rural Communities) 1991-2001. It has therefore been building on the local community led approach to rural development successfully developed by SPARC, in which communities, public sector and voluntary partners and special interest groups come together to undertake locally integrated development.
