Presentation

The Rural Foundation of Walloonia is a public interest foundation. The members of its governing board are for that matter designated by the political parties according to the constitution of the Walloon Parliament.

It has a triple function of animating the Walloon rural world, acting as an interface between the local projects and the public authorities, and providing councils and advices about new methods, techniques and groundbreaking ideas.

Themes activities

To help and accompany the redaction and the implementation of communal development programmes, mostly by organising citizen’s participation

Constitute a resource centre for the rural world, especially through its agents and its publications

On the European questions:

- Help the communes to benefit from European opportunities

- Transregional partnerships on research-action and exchanges of experiences on rural development

- Act as an interface between the Walloon local action groups and the regional administration
