Wales Rural Forum was created in 1990 to strengthen the voice of those who are active at grass roots and community level, and to improve the flow of ideas between them and the various agencies and authorities which have responsibility for all aspects of Welsh rural life.
Integration: the division between economic, social and environmental issues is to be minimised
Sustainability: promote a long term view of the kind of countryside and rural society that the Wales Rural Forum want to see in Wales
Participation: to develop the opportunities for local people to exercise leadership and self-determination for their communities
