Presentation

The Belgian Natural Park Haute-Sûre Forêt d’Anlier covers the communes of Bastogne, Vaux-sur-Sûre, Fauvillers, Habay, Martelange and Léglise. Developing around the two main éléments of the Haute-Sûre basin and the Anlier forest massif, it represents a surface of 72,000 hectares and a population of 32,000.

The Park is a territorial actor and aims at protecting the local heritage (both natural, cultural and architectural), while guaranteeing the population’s well being and the region’s economic development.

On the transnational scale, the Natural Park wishes to come to the creation, in the mid term, of a transborder Park covering the Haute-Sûre area in Belgium and Luxembourg. In this perspective, a common management platform could be created.
